Students continue working in ch. 6, and they also receive their grades ch. 5 tests to review.   We also used half an hour to do corrections on their tests.  Anyone who has received less than an "A" grade, must correct their mistakes and tell why the answer is now correct.   This will earn half points for this work.

Students begin working in ch. 5 & download the materials from the files on the website.  We will be using all of them.

Students have a sub today and watch the video about the "Dia de los muertos."   They also complete a worksheet about the video.   Tarea:  If they want, they can make pan de muerto for extra credit.   They should bring in the bread on Tuesday morning, and we will share it with the class.

Wednesday, August 24:


Students continue to access the online textbooks & other materials for Spanish I classes via the webpage & Haiku.   We practice the numbers & alphabet, and review pages 1-11 in the textbook, lecciones preliminares.   There will be a matching quiz over pages 1-11 next Tuesday.  Tarea:  study the study guide (numbers & alphabet) and pages 1-11 in the text.

Tuesday, August 23, 2016:

Students will use their ipads to access Haiku-based online textbooks & other materials for Spanish I class.   They must bring their materials to class each day, and they must also be able to access my webpage.   Students should plan to study at least 20 minutes each evening for Spanish class, whether they have homework or not.   They can study grammar & vocabulary, and they can also use my quizlet account for more practice.   Haiku will be updated each day, and this webpage will also reflect what is on Haiku.     Students can use the Spanish 1 files page to access handouts.
